2.7 SATAII/SAS backplane cabling
Front side
The front side of the SATIIA/SAS backplane faces the front panel when installed.
This side includes eight SATAII/SAS connectors for the hot swap drive trays.
Connect the SATAII/SAS HDDs
Connects the data cables
connected to the motherboard
Back side
The back side of the SATAII/SAS backplane faces the rear panel when installed.
This side includes the power connectors and SATAII/SAS interfaces for the
motherboard Serial ATA connectors or the SAS card.
