Note to CATV System Installer

This reminder is provided to call the CATV systems installer's attention to section 820-93 of

the National Electric Code, which provides guidelines for proper grounding and in particular,

speciﬁes that the coaxial cable shield shall be connectd to the grounding system of the

building, as close to the point of cable entry as possible.

For Norway special national conditions requirement, when the unit intended to be connected

to CABLE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS, the screen of a coax cable is required to be galvanic isolated

from the protective earth, the Norwegian text ” Må kun tilkoples kabel-TV nett via galvanisk

isolator” is stated in the user manual.
